Emily Sheehan is the founder of RUNNING NAKED FILMS.
Based in Los Angeles & Seattle, she works as an Independent Producer, Director & Writer.
As of 2024, she wrapped up producing three independent, narrative feature films, THE EVERYTHING POT (ULB, 2023 Los Angeles, CA,) ANY DAY NOW (Tier 0, Boston MA 2022), and BEFORE A WEDDING (ULB, Boston MA, 2023), She is currently developing multiple feature length narrative and documentary projects including FREIGHT and the UNT. UKRAINE PROJECT. The EVERYTHING POT is set for its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2024.
Emily is in an award-winning filmmaker and has showcased her narrative & documentary shorts, WOODEN HORSE, AFTER, BORDERLINE, and ADAPTATION at multiple film festivals internationally, including the Cannes Short Film Corner (2017), the Independent Film Festival of Boston (2017), and the LA / Boston Redstone Film Festival (2015, 2016, 2017).
Previously, she worked as a coordinator at SPECTRUM ORIGINALS, while also working as the executive producer’s assistant for Katherine Pope on Hulu’s THE DROPOUT. Over a four year span she worked as the co-executive producer's assistant for Amazon’s UTOPIA, the directing-producer’s assistant for Nicole Kassell & Stephen Williams on HBO's critically acclaimed WATCHMEN and the producer’s assistant on CASTLE ROCK. Before moving to Los Angeles, Emily worked as a Film Professor at Boston University’s College of Communication teaching “film language,” coordinated MASS MEDIA EXPO’S as the Associate Producer of the Massachusetts Production Coalition; and worked as a successful, commercial Director / Producer in Boston, MA.
